Keiko Pitter gave a presentation on Web Portal technology – discussing the differences between portals and the web – illustrating the web as a tool for regruitment and admissions of new students and the portal as a customizable tool to enhance student, staff & faculty access to information.

She illustrated some common business and education portals and discussed the differences. She outlines the campus’s strategy to make the web page look like the campus viewbook and to develop a campus portal customized for the special needs of campus groups.
