Administrative System Committee-February 11th, 2002

 

Members present:

Cheryl Schreindl, Kathy Yeager, Mary Luckstead, Michael Quiner, Ron Urban, Jed Schwendiman, Deborah Hopkinson, Brian Dohe, and Sherrie Kamara.

The Business Office will be creating a web site with on-line procedures

A recommendation was made to create a web page with a List of meeting rooms, their capacities and contact person.

                                   

There was a discussion of paper conservation – a resolution was passed to make sure that all new printers have duplex capabilities. People were urged to be aware of paper usage and to conserve as much as possible.

 

The issue of student representation was raised. It was decided to invite the STAC committee to nominate a student for participation in AITAP if they are interested. We will foreward the item to Shannon Callister to bring to the STAC committee.

 

The inclusion of a Multi-Ethnicity code in Datatel was discussed. Admissions and Registrar sai dthe codes ar eneeded – new federal IPEDS requirements will use multi-ethnic codes. Neal C. has the IPED requirements and Ron Urban will ask Niel to forward those codes to Cheryl.

 

It was recommended that Mark Otis be invited to the next AITAP meeting to discuss web templates and standards.

 

It was announced by WCTS that family members will not be given new email accounts. WCTS research into postini and spam filtering was discussed.
