Excel Toolbars
The Toolbars
in Excel provide a varied and customizable method to access the features and
functions in Excel that a person might find themselves needing while working on
a spreadsheet. The way that people can customize and control Excel Toolbars is
similar in all Microsoft office applications.
Excel comes with over 40 Toolbars, any number of these can be made
available at any time.
·
Right
Click on any
Toolbar to see a checklist of the most common Toolbars.
·
Choose the Tools Menu/Customize…/Toolbars tab
to see a complete list.
By grabbing the handle portion of a Toolbar you can place it in
the header or footer of the application or you can float it over the work
space. Toolbars can be resized. These customizations will persist upon closing
and re-opening Excel.
By holding
your cursor over a tool icon for a few seconds a “ScreenTip” will display
the tools name. If this feature is disabled you can toggle it by choosing
the Tools Menu/Customize…/Options tab.
The Tools Menu/Customize…/tabs provide easy access to
control and set up of the toolbars.

Clicking on the Down Arrow icon lets you add/remove tools from the
toolbar.
