Scheduled Events: Budget ManagementDate: February 8-9, 2000 Instructor: Mike Ionno Description: The Colleague Budget Management module is designed to automate and expedite the budgeting process. It makes the task of entering and manipulating budget requests easier, and adds a management review process that facilitates the approval of the budget. Historical comparisons assist the budget officer throughout the budgeting process. Once a final budget is approved it may be rolled into the General Ledger automatically. Purpose: The Budget Management class provides users with the knowledge to make effective decisions regarding the implementation, and the information to train those involved in the budgeting process at various levels in the budget organization. In addition, a portion of this class will be devoted to issues of particular interest to the Colleague Administrator, including file structures, data flow, security provisions, and file management.
