Description: Colleague Core Concepts training is a prerequisite for Colleague modules class attendance. This course applies a train-the-trainer methodology for individuals who will provide end user education and support to those attending future module classes. Topics include validation code tables, code files, demographic data using the Person file, Organization and Institution files, Scheduling, and a FAcilities Profile. Learning these fundamental concepts will promote effective records and data management.

Purpose: The Colleague Core Concepts class provides decision makers and administrators with the knowledge to begin the implementation of Colleague. Class objectives are achieved through lecture, discussions, hands-on exercises. Specifically, the class focuses on:

  • The information required for key demographic entry
  • System integration comprehension
  • Fundamental Core setup decisions

Audience:

  • Computer center and project management staff responsible for managing and implementing the Colleague product
  • Administrative managers responsible for end user training at your institution

Prerequisites:

Course Length: Two days - 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the first day, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the second day.
