Status Report
Project Management
- Keiko Pitter and Jim Ply had a meeting with Jim Andersen and Dean
Nichols on Monday, June 14, in Seattle, to give status report and to agree
on the format for future status updates. It was a good meeting and Dean
Nichols supplied Jim with an outline for monthly status report. In
addition, there will be quarterly meeting to discuss the status. The next
meeting will be in September.
- Tasks Accomplished this week include:
- Entered Chart of Accounts in the Sandbox
- Got some GL setup, mostly for HR
- Setup four positions
- Attached people to position
- Linked positions to GL for funding
- Setup one benefit and one tax
- Applied benefit and tax to one person
- Generated hourly and salary payroll
- Calculated hourly and salary payroll
- WCTS identified incompatibility between Microsoft Y2K patch and
FrontView. The problem is with the latest version of IE--the latest
version needs to be removed and replaced with an earlier version of IE5.
WCTS is in the process of fixing all affected computers.
- NWDUG meeting - Stephanie, Tony, Jeremy, Nancy, Barry, Kevin and Keiko
are attending the meeting. Keiko is the only person staying through the
entire 2-1/2 days.
Core Team
- Institutional Defaults decided.
- Working on Department and Division.
- Working on Staff and Volunteer issues.
- Working on WID issue.
General Ledger - Chart of Accounts
- In the process of entering them in the Sandbox.
- Beginning to look at "Pooled Investments"
Financial Aid
- 2 or 3 more process maps to go.
- looking at reports
- Jim will be working with Financial Aid team during his next visit.
Admission
- Studying the reporting needs
- Continuing with team meetings
- Need to work with folks from the Registrar's Office
Residence Life
- Process Mapping
- Jim will be meeting with them during his next visit.
