Pitter
HR/Paryoll
- Tara and Joyce running parallel payrolls. Got 10-12 matches out of 41
(staff and faculty).
- Barbara working on paycheck printing problem.
- Ken researched printer--ordering devices for printer to do
microencoding and signature.
Business Ofifce
- Jim working on accounts payable checks for payroll vendors.
- General Ledger training is going on today.
- Financial reporting will need to be done by BiTech until July. Jim is
working on various interfaces.
- Accounts Receivable consulting is coming up.
Admission
- Amy Westlake will be here for consulting next week. Registrar's
office will be included at an appropriate time.
- Admission would like another consulting visit to cover topics they
haven't to go yet, such as file imports (from tapes).
- Right now, focusing on communication management printing.
- Hired a temp help.
- Finished translation table for data conversion.
Financial Aid
- Susan Copeland is entering students in live for pyaroll. Should
finish by the end of next week.
Note from Keiko: need to check data consistency
- Postponed the trip to Whitworth indefinitely. May want to go to
another institution back east instead. Will discuss this later.
- Consulting visit will be Jan 25-26.
Registrar
- Been doing pre-registration this week...the last time on the old
system.
- Entering data in test account--defining course defaults--got folders
from Jim.
- Consulting coming up in January.
- For curriculum management, Jim wil set up defaults in test and then
can work with them to see if they work.
- Will discuss requirements for Web interface (on-line access) in
January.
Residence Life
- Nellis is going through folders, setting things up.
- Monday (12/6) is consulting with Amy. Will discuss qustions with Jim
this afternoon.
Core
- Will discuss ORGP next week.
Technical
- Susan is exploring various capabilities of Safari. Will train others
once she figures out how things work.
Jim Ply
- Spent most of time this week on business office/payroll.
- Tara and Joyce have been doing an excellent job comparing payrolls,
tracking down problems and solving them. Making a good progress.
