description: Student assistant would convert 3rd. year two-semester Spanish course materials to web-accessible format. Materials would include: course syllabus, text, (written by Prof. Weller and consisting of two volumes: a history, culture and intro. to Hispanic literature reader and an advanced grammar review workbook) video, (graphics or photo), audio, exercises, etc. to enhance the 3rd. year materials. Text (since it is awaiting publication) would be limited to Whitman students, but the cultural enhancement materials would be indexed and thus available to all consortium members.
outcome: Purpose of the project is to make these 3rd. year materials more widely accessible to students at a low cost. This online material would provide students with additional visual and audio references to Hispanic history, culture and literature.
timeline: Jan. 19-May 11, 1999
Project will be use-tested during the Spring 1999 semester by 3rd. year Spanish students currently using the Tesoros print materials at Whitman.
