Name: Tatjana Pavlovic
INSTITUTION: Willamette University
LANGUAGE: Spanish
STATUS: Full-time, tenure track
TYPE: StudentAssistant
TYPE1: TravelFellowship
TITLE: Spanish cinema on the web
DURATION: Spring semester
DESCRIPTION: I would like to apply for a grant for student assistants. This will cover funds for various students who will be working on several projects that I will be involved with during the semester. As of now this project includes: the creation of an upper level Spanish division course ^ÓSpanish cinema^Ô, the integration of this course with upcoming Portland International Film Festival as well as complementary web pages and Power Point presentation for all of above. The product generated from this grant will be a web page based around film director who will be visiting Willamette University campus in February.
OUTCOME: The goal is to acquire technological expertise that will be needed for the completion of this project in the following summer (I will be seeking support). The students will help me through instruction and ground work necessary for summer 2000 completion. My time is limited due to full course load and the extra curricular obligations which means that by far the most productive use of student time is when instruction duties could be combined with production duties. In this way I will be continuing training started during semester abroad in Granada while creating ^ÓLorca^Òs Granada^Ô web pages.
TIMELINE: I will be be collecting materials until the end of February and wil have a web page out by the time of film festival in early March.
