Title: The Provinces of France: Burgundy
Duration: July-August, 2000
Description: This is a continuation of a collaborative project with Professor Francoise Goeury-Richardson of Willamette University to produce computer-accessible lessons on the provinces of France. Two of these lessons are already available on the world wide web. In addition, we are currently completing the lesson on Normandy, for which I received funding last summer. This summer's project is to create a lesson on Burgundy, an important and ancient province in the East of France with a very rich history. I will work on the geography, history, important places and cuisine of the region. In late august, I plan to visit Burgundy, take pictures and gather other audio-visual materials to complete the lesson.
Outcome: The purpose of this work is to produce a computer-accessible lesson on the geography, history, traditions, literature, and cuisine of Burgundy for the study of advanced second-year and third-year students of French.

July-August 2000: do research and write my sections of the lesson on Burgundy
