Whitman email from afar

If you are away from campus but still want to check your Whitman email , you can choose from among several easy options:

WebMail: From any computer connected to the Internet, use a web browser to go to http://webmail.Whitman.edu You'll be asked for your normal email login name and password, then you'll see a web-based rendition of your inbox. More instructions are available from our online documentation at http://wcts.whitman.edu/docs.

Pine: Using a telnet program, open a new connection (this command is usually under the File menu of most telnet programs). In the box for the 'host' type marcus.whitman.edu. You'll be asked for your email username and password, after which you will be able to launch a text-based email program called Pine. If you are not already familiar with using Pine, make sure to look at the instructions posted at http://wcts.whitman.edu/docs

GroupWise users: If you still use GroupWise, you don't have the above options available to you unfortunately. However, you can use a web browser to access a similar web-based version of GroupWise at http://gw-server.whitman.edu
