Our voice mail system has been operating close to capacity this term, and there are a couple of ways you can help. Here's what you can do before you leave for the holidays:

Faculty and Staff: If you are gone for any length of time, change your greeting to reflect that you are away from school and won't be checking your voice mail. A sample greeting might be:

This is J. Doe. I will be away from my office until January 9th and will not have a chance to check my voice mail until then. If you wish to talk to the department secretary, please press zero.

Students: Remember that your voice mailbox goes with your specific room number, and not with you. If you change rooms your voicemail is automatically terminated. Make sure you listen to all your messages before you leave, and make manual notes of any saved messages that contain info you still need.
