Winfiles Cluster: Down for maintenance

The Windows Cluster (winfiles) will be down this Friday (2/4/2010) from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm for routine maintenance.

Windows File Storage (winfiles):

This affects all faculty and staff using the winfiles cluster for network storage. You should not be working on any documents or files stored on winfiles as you may lose changes or damage the documents that you have open while the servers are shut down. Make sure you close your files before 5:00 PM on Friday. You may need to shutdown and restart your computer sometime after 7:00 pm to re-establish your connection to the network.

Zimbra: Downtime for maintenance

The Zimbra Email and Calendaring system (zimbra.whitman.edu) will be down Friday, February 4th from 7pm to 1am on Saturday for routine maintenance.

WHAT THIS MEANS AND WHO IS AFFECTED:

Zimbra Email System:

This only affects those using the Zimbra Collaboration Suite for email or calendaring. You will not be able to read or send email messages or access your Zimbra calender while the servers are down for maintenance. Email messages sent to someone on the Zimbra email system will be queued and will be delivered once the system is back online.

Zimbra: downtime for maintenance

The Zimbra Email and calendaring system (zimbra.whitman.edu) will be down Monday, January 31st from 5-7pm for emergency maintenance. We did not have enough time to complete all of the required maintenance at noon, so we have to take Zimbra down again this evening to complete the required maintenance.
