The entire Whitman network will be down from 5:00 – 11:00 pm Thursday, July 31th, for routine maintenance.

*NOTE* Access to the Internet and some network printing will remain available while the network is down. Printing to printers located in the public computer labs will *NOT* be available while the network is down for maintenance.

WHAT THIS MEANS AND WHO IS AFFECTED:

Access to all Whitman servers and all network services will be down for six hours starting at 5:00 pm on Thursday. You will not be able to access your email, files stored on the network or access local Whitman web pages, including the main Whitman home page, and WebAdvisor.

You should not be working on any documents or files stored on the network as you may lose changes or damage the documents that you have open. Make sure you close your files before 5:00 pm on Thursday. You may need to shutdown and restart your computer sometime after 11:00 pm to re-establish your connection to the network.

The connection to the Internet will be down for maintenance this afternoon, Monday, July 21, 2008 starting at 5 pm. The connection to the Internet should be back online and available for normal use by 7 pm. All activities that require access to the Internet will not be available while the connection is down for maintenance.
