The Windows Cluster (winfiles) will be down this Wednesday (5/21/2008) from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm for routine maintenance.

Windows File Storage (winfiles):

This affects all faculty and staff using the winfiles cluster for network storage. You should not be working on any documents or files stored on winfiles as you may lose changes or damage the documents that you have open while the servers are shut down. Make sure you close your files before 5:00 PM on Wednesday. You may need to shutdown and restart your computer sometime after 7:00 pm to re-establish your connection to the network.

Problems with major upstream Internet Server Provider (360 Network) is causing problems with Whitman's ability to reach the Internet. The OC3 connection from 360 Networks has been "flapping" going up and down every minute or so. Our Internet Server Provider (Spectrum Networks) is working with 360 Network to resolve the issue and restore Internet connectivity.
