This evening (3/10/2008), WCTS will be shutting down the core network switch to install a new interface card.

All networked services, including access to documents, printing, email and access to the Internet will not be available during this time.

The network should be available again for normal use by 6:00 am.

You should not be working on any documents or files stored on the network as you may lose changes or damage the documents that you have open. Make sure you close your files before 5:00 pm on Monday. You may need to shutdown and restart your computer sometime after 6:00 pm to re-establish your connection to the network.

Saturday morning (3/8/2008), WCTS will be shutting down the core network to move servers and install a new larger battery backup unit. All networked services, including access to documents, printing, email and access to the Internet will not work while the core switch is shutdown for maintenance.

The network should be available for normal use by 11:00 am. You should not be working on any documents or files stored on the network as you may lose changes or damage the documents that you have open. Make sure you close your files before 9:00 am on Saturday. You may need to shutdown and restart your computer sometime after 11:00 am to re-establish your connection to the network.

Failure of an emergency splice in the fiber-optic network cables has taken the networking offline. No ETA at this time when network service will be restored.
